Equipment scope

Connect generation, storage and distribution early.

Commercial projects have more interfaces than a rooftop array alone. We align the equipment categories required for the facility scope and purchasing plan.

01

PV equipment

Modules and mounting options for rooftops, canopies and available site areas.

02

Energy storage

Storage for backup, demand management and solar-plus-storage concepts.

03

Distribution

Switchgear and related electrical equipment for facility integration.

Before quotation

Confirm the project conditions first.

Supply scope: equipment selection, material supply and documentation coordination. Permitting and site installation are completed by the buyer’s qualified installer or contractor where required.

  1. Site plan, building type and target system capacity.
  2. Service voltage, interconnection conditions and power-quality requirements.
  3. Required equipment schedule, destination and delivery window.

Commercial project matching

Let the facility conditions define the commercial equipment package.

Commercial projects combine site constraints, operating loads and electrical interfaces. We support EPCs and procurement teams by matching the equipment scope to the facility’s real project conditions.

01

Facility & site

Roof or carport area, structural information supplied by the project team, site access and installation phasing.

02

Load & electrical scope

Target capacity, demand profile, service voltage, interconnection details and distribution interfaces.

03

Commercial delivery plan

Equipment list, required documents, receiving arrangements, delivery windows and project schedule.

Configuration context

Map the equipment package to the facility plan.

For commercial projects, the rooftop or carport area is only one part of the brief. Facility load behavior, service conditions, delivery logistics and the purchasing plan all shape the equipment proposal.

System overview

See the commercial energy package as one coordinated scope.

Solar generation, storage, power conversion and distribution are planned around the facility load, roof or carport area, electrical service and project schedule.

APPLICATION ENGINEERING

Typical commercial and industrial configuration

Indicative ranges for a commercial rooftop, carport or ground-mount system with storage. Final sizing follows the structural review, the interval load data and the tariff you are on.

Array size100 kW to several MW
Modules550 to 720 W, up to 23.5% module efficiency
Inverters100 to 125 kW string units or central inverters

Illustrative selection information. Confirm the final specification for your model, site and delivery scope.

What usually goes wrong on this kind of project

  • Modules laid out to fill the roof before the structural reserve is checked – ballast and dead load then force a redesign.
  • Transformer and switchgear quoted separately by different suppliers, so impedance and short-circuit ratings do not line up.
  • Storage added after the electrical design is frozen, which puts fire-code review on the critical path.
  • Storage sized on kWh without a peak-shaving or demand-charge model, so the payback cannot be shown.

Questions buyers ask

Rooftop or ground mount?

It comes down to structural reserve, available land and whether you need the space for parking or access. We price both where the site allows it.

What size transformer do we need?

From the load profile and diversity factor, not from the array rating. A diversified commercial load is usually well below connected load.

What compliance documents come with the storage?

The UL 9540 listing and UL 9540A report for the exact model and capacity, clearance drawings, the anchorage calculation for your region, and the commissioning checklist your AHJ works through.

What is the lead time?

Stocked specifications ship from U.S. warehouse inventory, as fast as 7 days. Built-to-order transformers and switchgear are quoted with a confirmed date.

Send the roof or site plan, 12 months of interval load data and your tariff, or just the utility account structure.
